Wednesday Evening News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


Officials in Shaare Zedek Medical Center described Rav Mordecai Tzemach [ben Mazel] condition as “stable” following complicated abdominal surgery on Tuesday. The rav was rushed to the hospital after collapsing in his home.

**Arabs hurled firebombs at Israeli vehicles near Kalkilye on Wednesday afternoon. Baruch Hashem, there were no reports of injuries.

**Rocks were hurled at a bus in the Chevron area. No injuries.

**An Arab was apprehended in the Gush Etzion area with a 12 inch knife. No injuries reported.

**Police arrested a chareidi man posting flyers against the city’s social workers system on Yechezkel Street. Residents reportedly began to throw rocks at the policeman, who was extricated from the area without incident.
