Among the injured in the Egged 402 bus crash on the Jerusalem – Tel Aviv Highway was a kallah just two weeks before her chasunah. The injured kallah was seated aside her sister.

The kallah was seriously injured, and was transported to Assaf HaRofeh Hospital.

The father of the girls, Avraham Yitzchak Sperling spoke to the press. He praised the doctors for battling for ten hours to save the avulsed hand of his daughter. “Not only their own experts but they brought in others. They do not care about kovod but what is best for the patient” explains the father, who tells the press that for him, realizing he has HKBH as his “anchor” enables him to get through this for he knows he is not alone.

He explained the girls were heading to Bnei Brak to shop before the chasenah. He explains that for now, the chasenah will be on hold for a bit.
