A major drill will be held on Wednesday in the Supreme Court building in Jerusalem, compelling occupants of the courthouse to evacuate using main and emergency entrances, simulating an actual emergency that would dictate such a response.
Adding an element of realism to the drill, a simulated attack will be taking place and sirens will be heard in the area. There will not be simulated explosions or mock terrorists.
The exercise is focusing on testing the abilities and response of the court’s security team and first-response unit. During the period of the training event, traffic snarls in the area of the court are to be expected.
