Minister of Religious Services (Shas) David Azoulai on Wednesday, 1 Adar I visited the shul located near Karmei Tzur, that was targeted by Arab vandals in a hate attack.

The makeshift shul, which was established in memory of the Gush Etzion kedoshim HY”D, is situated just outside the perimeter security fence of Karmei Tzur. The attackers gathered all of the Sifrei Kodesh into a pile and then set them ablaze.

Azoulai stated the true response here should be the construction of a permanent shul at the location. He told those taking part in the visit that he can no longer remain in his office when such horrific attacks are taking place. He promised the Shas party will do all it can to assist in building a permanent shul on the location that will host regular tefilos and shiurim.
