Israel Justice Selection Committee is deadlocked, meeting again on Friday but without reaching agreement as to the selection of three new High Court justices. Even a compromise solution intended to result in three temporary appointments was not successful.
This is the first time the left-wing leaning High Court does not hold a majority on the committee, resulting in the deadlock.
The committee is scheduled to reconvene again today, Sunday, in the hope of reaching a consensus.
