Indictments Filed in Stolen IDF Chief’s Credit Card Case

Two additional indictments were filed against suspects involved in the stolen credit card case in which IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gabi Ashkenazi’s credit card information was stolen from his office in the Kirya complex.

Indictments of weapons dealing, robbery, credit card fraud and other charges were filed against 22-year-old Tel Aviv resident Hamoudi Majadleh and 20-year-old Shadir Nashaf from Kalansua.

It appears that the latter, Majadleh worked in a Ra’anana butcher store with another suspect, whose name may not be released due to a gag order, persuading him to steal a weapon. While in the office of IDF Chief Ashkenazi, the soldier stumbled across the credit card information, which he photographed with his cellular telephone’s camera, and they subsequently charged about NIS 2,000 in goods on it. He also took a weapon and sold it to Majadleh, who sold it to Nashaf, earning NIS 4,000, but the latter was angered and demanded his money back when learning the collector’s item weapon was non-operational.
