One person was killed after a scaffold collapsed off a Brooklyn building on Tuesday evening.
An FDNY spokesman said four workers were on a scaffold at the fifth floor of a Park Slope building at 12th Street and Seventh Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when it collapsed.
One worker fell to his death and firefighters rescued the others by pulling them in through open windows. The spokesman said two workers refused medical attention and a third has been taken to a local hospital.
It was not immediately known if the workers were window washers or had been making repairs to the building.
Authorities are investigating what caused the scaffold to dislodge from the building.
