It is reported that a Sudanese national perpetrated the stabbing attack near the Ashkelon Central Bus Station on Sunday morning, 28 Shevat. An IDF soldier was lightly wounded in the attack.

The terrorist, Kamal Hassan, 32, died of his injuries early Sunday afternoon in Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon. He was shot and wounded as he was fleeing the scene of the attack.
