An Exciting Anniversary, With an Exciting Sale!
At ArtScroll, we’re marking a very special anniversary — and we invite you to celebrate with us with a very special sale.
It began forty years ago — with a chesed. A friend of Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz was niftar at a young age, leaving no one behind to say Kaddish. Rabbi Zlotowitz, President of ArtScroll, which was then a high-end graphics studio, decided to memorialize his friend by writing a translation and commentary on Megillas Esther, to be finished in time for the sheloshim. He approached Rabbi Nosson Scherman to edit the work and provide an overview.
The rest, as they say, is history. The ArtScroll Megillas Esther, with its clean, modern design and fonts, flowing, readable translation and commentary, and fascinating overview, was, indeed, written, edited, and published — with tremendous siyata d’Shmaya — for the sheloshim. In a stunning and unexpected development, it went on to sell tens of thousands of copies in the two months before Purim (and is still going strong today, four decades later!).
The “ArtScroll Revolution” had begun.
This “revolution” has touched us all. The Schottenstein Edition of the Talmud opened up the wonders of Gemara to tens of thousands Jews and reinvigorated the study of daf yomi in America. How many fervent prayers have been recited from the more than a million copies of the ArtScroll Siddur that are in print? The Stone Chumash, the Mishnah, commentaries such as Rashi and Ramban, biographies of great personalities, comprehensive works of halachah … the list of ArtScroll books goes on and on.
Imagine dealing with today’s challenges without the wisdom of a book by Rabbi Abraham J. Twerski, M.D.. Can you get through your day without your Living Emunah? Two generations of children learned to daven from Shmuel Blitz’s ArtScroll Children’s Siddur, and all of us have enjoyed the delicious delicacies from ArtScroll’s family of groundbreaking, bestselling cookbooks.
In forty years, ArtScroll has shared more than 2,000 titles, varied in content, similar in their high quality, beauty of design, and fidelity to mesorah.
To show our appreciation to the countless readers who are an integral part of the ArtScroll Revolution, we’re inviting all of you to celebrate with a special anniversary offer: From February 3 through February 22, take 30% off ArtScroll’s magnificent library of titles. (Sale does not include Hebrew-only versions of Siddurim, Machzorim, Tehillim, and Chumashim.)
