Baltimore residents are on edge after a Frum man was assaulted in the heart of Baltmore’s Jewish Community, Monday night.
The 24-year-old victim was assaulted by an African American male on Hopeton and Pinkney just after 10:30PM.
The victim was apparently followed by the perpetrator from the Agudah of Park Heights. The perpetrator then approached the Jewish man and slammed him between two cars. The victim believes the man was after money but he was puzzled that the man did not say anything during the assault. The Jewish man immediately started screaming for help and the perpetrator fled the scene.
Shomrim and police were canvassing the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
This attack is the latest incident in a long string of assaults, robberies and burglaries plaguing the Jewish Community.
Additionally, Shomrim say that two vehicles were ransacked Monday night on Biltmore around the same time as the assault on Biltmore Street.
Residents are reminded to please remain vigilant and call 911 for any suspicious activity – and then call Shomrim at 410-358-9999.
