The trial of long-time aide and confidant to Ehud Olmert, Shula Zaken, will begin on September 9th. She will face bribery and other charges in the trial being held in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court.

Zaken is a key player in the state investigations against Olmert, herself facing criminal charges for he alleged role in covering up and illegal transactions, many directly linked to Ehud Olmert in his capacity as a government minister.

According to statements release of late from the attorney general’s office, criminal indictments are expected against the former prime minister in the coming weeks.
