During a visit to the E1 area, located between Yerushalayim and Maale Adumim, on Monday, Interior Minister Eli Yishai stated there is no alternative to continued construction in response to the critical housing shortage.
Yishai stated there can be no doubt that the current administration is different from its predecessor, and it is compelled to make a genuine effort to change America’s position. Even if unsuccessful, Israel is compelled to build to address the critical housing shortage and America must be brought to understand Israel must advance its matters of national interest and priority.
Yishai added that at the end, if we cannot move ahead with the blessing of the current American administration, we must do so based on the understandings with the previous US administration, the daily HaMevaser reports.
Accompanying Yishai was Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, who stated Israel is compelled to build in E1 for if not, the “Palestinians will understand and they will build” and they Maale Adumim will be cut off from Jerusalem as was the case with Mount Scopus from 1948 to 1967.

How about if Bibi starts telling Obama where building can and can NOT take place in the U.S.A.!!! How about Bibi start demanding justice for the poor native Americans (i.e. Indians) and that the Obama return their lands to them! The Land of Israel, ALL OF IT, belongs to Am Yisrael, its THAT simple! Its time we all stood up and shouted it from the mountain tops. Its time we (i.e. the spineless Israeli government) stopped feeling we have to explain and apologize for every inch of our OWN LAND that we build on.
