Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in a media interview with El-Tiempo last week reflected on the situation surrounding the terror attacks in Buenos Aires. He stated appropriate action must be taken today to prevent future attacks, warning of the good relations maintained between Venezuela President Hugo Chavez, who maintains close ties with Iran and permits Hizbullah cells to operate in its borders.
Lieberman’s remarks elicited the ire of Chavez, who labeled the foreign minister a “mafia boss”.
