A protest demonstration is planned for Monday (August 3, 2009) against the government’s intentions to destroy the Derech HaAvot unauthorized outpost located in Gush Etzion, near the community of Elazar. Of particular importance to Defense Minister Ehud Barak is the home of the Bibi family, a home which the minister explains is constructed on non-state land.

It appears that a letter sent by the Bibis to Defense Minister Barak has fallen on deaf ears. They explain that their home is not illegal, but a neighborhood in Elazar, a recognized community, and therefore, the home should be permitted to remain.
