Shivi Fruman: The Attack Doesn’t Change My Belief in Dual Existence

1Shivi Fruman is the son of the former mora d’asra of Yishuv Tekoa, Rabbi Menachem Fruman Z”L. Shivi grew up in the community where he lives with his wife Michal, who was stabbed by an Arab terrorist in the community on Monday, 8 Shevat. Mrs. Fruman was transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital where she remains in a cardiothoracic surgical unit, listed in moderate condition.

Like his father, Shivi is what some call a “peace activist” and he tells the media that the attack that left his pregnant wife injured does not change his hashkafa and he continues to believe in dual existence with the Arabs. He told Kippa News “I am very close to my father’s z”l beliefs and the attack changes nothing regarding the reality of where we live and my position. It just serves to strengthen my hashkafa”.

He feels we must yearn for true peace with the Palestinians and admits he does not know if such a reality is possible today but emphasis he remains committed to working towards achieving this.

  1. Why do we have to know his crazy opinion?!!!!!
I doubt that he will still believe like this if HE is the one being hurt!

  2. The guy needs to learn how to put on a shirt before he can start giving people geopolitical lectures. Tragedies don’t make sages of fools.

  3. What’s with all the negativity? Is it so terrible to want peace and to hope for a day when there will be? It doesn’t mean that he thinks all Muslims are good people. It just means that he’s a person full of love and focuses on the positive while combating the negative. These are values that are deeply rooted in Torah.
