It appears the shabbos afternoon anti Karta parking lot protest has become a regular event. Eida Chareidis officials have announced the weekly event will be held this shabbos, as it has been in recent weeks.
The participants will meet at Kikar Shabbos where HaGaon HaRav Naftali Frankel Shlita, a member of the Badatz, will address the tzibur. From there, the participants will march to the Karta parking lot area. Expected to participate is HaGaon HaRav Yaakov Meir Shechter Shlita, a leader of the Breslov community, HaMevaser reports.
Eida Rabbonim Shlita has announced that once again, only avreichim and adults will be permitted to take part seeking to avoid the violence that erupts with the participation of bochrim.

Having personally witnessed the protests during my visit to Eretz Yisrael this summer, I regret that they are a tremendous Chilul Hashem…The Eida Chareidis is responsible for all of the additional Chilul shabbos created by the protests (extra police, helicopters, photogs, Chassidim riding in police cars).
I applaud R. Nosson Tzvi Finkel of the Mir who has made clear that noone affiliated with his yeshiva should be found anywhere near these protests.
This is not a menschlach way to deal with the public parking issue. (As an aside, former frum mayor – Lopiansky also opened another lot on shabbos to accomodate parking in another venue in Yerushalayim).
The eida rabbanim are Gedolei Torah in the highest sense of the word. Hagaon R Yaakov Meir Schechter Shlita is from the greatest gedolai Torah of our generation.
Mr. Batalah, before you remark on such situations realize how grave your comment may be, for when discussing talmidei chachamim especially ones who are at the forefront of kedushas Yisroel and on such a high caliber, I wouldn’t dare even comment. Besides for the fact, that the sheltered life they have always tried to attain, have almost always been acheived through demonstrations, as the israeli gov’t tries its utmost to uproot all facets of yiddishkeit. Another thing to ponder, Kiddush Hashem doesn’t mean being nice to everyone, sometimes when being nice it’s a total Chilul Hashem, there are times when the Torah mandates action against others, I think the Gedolai Torah on the eida know when those times are, alot better than us.

Mencglich or not its what certain rabbanim paskened is a chiev to do. Also dont forget the Rosh Yeshiva’s statement came out against it, only after 35 mir bochurim were arrested so his actions were slightly political (not saying the the Eida’s weren’t).
