Due to expected strong winds and high air pollution today and smog, Monday, 8 Shevat, the Ministry of Environmental Affairs and Magen David Adom urge persons with respiratory illnesses and those in high-risk categories to remain indoors as much as possible. It is reported the high wind gusts and rainfall will make the situation worse, not better. There will be a significant quantity in the air today.
This includes COPD patients as well as persons with other chronic respiratory and cardiac conditions that may be exacerbated by the difficult atmospheric conditions today. This also includes small children, infants, the elderly and infirmed.
