For many is was a matter of time while for others, the unattainable is now a reality as the Knesset on Monday, Rosh Chodesh Shevat, approved the appointment of Aryeh Deri as Minister of the Interior.

The vote was 54 to 43 without abstentions, placing Aryeh Deri back in his beloved office, the Interior Ministry which is what launched him to stardom prior to having to resign and he was ultimately convicted of fraud and served a prison term. After release from prison he had to wait seven years for the expiration of the moral turpitude clause, clearing his return to politics and the cabinet post.
