Israel’s Chief Rabbis, Rabbi Shlomo Amar Shlita and Rabbi Yona Metzger Shlita have distributed the Israel Nature & Parks Authority information sheet which seeks to inform Israelis of proper safety and other issues during vacation time following Tisha B’Av, bein hazmanim.
The fact sheet contains basic information instructing hikers how to prepare, pack, what basic are needed and so-forth, in addition to urging hikers to only use recognized trails and to remain in contact with someone so in the event of an emergency, someone may be alerted to their failure to make contact.
The period of bein hazmanim in past years has been accompanied by tragedy in too many cases r”l, and rabbonim Shlita and others repeatedly advise bochrim and avreichim to adhere to instructions from officials.
