The following story was released by an Israel Police spokesman for the Shvelah district on Thursday 26 Teves.
Yesterday, a grandfather arrived to pick up his seven-month-old grandson from daycare in Modi’in Illit. Not paying attention, the grandfather was handed another child, not his grandson and he took the child to his home.
A call was received by police from a mother who came to pick up her child, but he seems to have vanished. They feared the child had been abducted since he was seen being escorted out of kindergarten by an older man.
Police began combing the area in search of the missing infant. They were checking a park in the area when suddenly, the grandfather arrived pushing the other child. Police arranged to have the child brought to his mother and for the grandfather to receive his grandson.
Three women employed in the daycare center were questioned by police and may face charges of negligence.

1. The grandfather needs glasses.
2. What made the grandfather finally realize his mistake?
This is one of the reasons that my daughters gan doesn’t allow anyone other than the child’s parent to pick up the child from gan, unless you give explicit permission on that day and you say who will be picking up your kid.
I am a Modiin Illite resident. The photo accompanying the story doesn’t seem to be from Modinn Illite. Please fix this.
