State Agency Fined NIS 10,000 Daily for Ignoring Court Decision

The Tel Aviv District Court is fining the Israel Lands Administration NIS10,000 daily, which has failed to comply with a court ruling to allocate land parcels to two IDF disabled veterans, Moshe Rashkam and Yosef Obeid. The court ruled that for each day the state agency fails to comply, it will pay them NIS 10,000 beginning on August 2nd. The state agency is also required to pay their legal fees amounting to NIS 30,000.

The court ruling addresses a state commitment to give them additional land to expand a gas station they operate, a decision made decades ago. The two, categorized as 100% disabled due to injuries sustained in the War of Independence, received a promise for the additional land, with Justice Nissim Yishaya rejected the unacceptable lack of compliance from a state agency, contemplating contempt of court charges as well.
