A number of chareidi elected officials met with Education Minister Naftali Bennett to discuss the machlokes surrounding the appointment of a new head for the ministry’s Chareidi District.

Health Minister Litzman, Deputy Education Minister Porush, Galil & Negev Development Minister Deri, and Deputy Minister of Finance Yitzchak Cohen met with Bennett in his Education Ministry office. The chareidi officials asked Bennett not to appoint someone to oversee the chareidi population who does not meet their approval. Bennett indicated he will keep them in the loop regarding the decision.

The meeting was brief, 15 minutes, and they did not agree on a candidate. Another meeting is expected in the hope of reaching agreement regarding the appointment.
