Officials in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital report the condition of Menashe [ben Shulamit] Kalifa has improved since he arrived in the trauma unit on Wednesday afternoon. He was listed in critical condition upon his arrival, post cardiac arrest, after jumping into a manhole in the Ramat Eshkol area of Yerushalayim that contained toxic gases. The incident resulted in the tragic death of three-year-old Rachel Sofer A”H, who Menashe was trying to save.

Menashe is listed in serious/stable condition on Thursday morning.
