The state has expressed opposition to the High Court of Justice holding another hearing for former Shas minister, Shlomo Benizri, who has been convicted to a harsher sentence as a result of the state’s appeal to the High Court.
The district court sentenced him to 1.5 years imprisonment but the High Court increased the sentence to 4 years.
The court’s decision regarding the request for an additional hearing will be announced at a later date.
