When the students of the Sulam mosdos heard that Sephardi Chief Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Amar Shlita was visiting, they ran from their classrooms to greet him, shouting “Abba, tzaddik, give us a bracha!”
Accompanying the Rav was Rav Dovid Earnester, who is moser nefesh for the Sulam mosdos, working to provide quality of life for these special neshamas.
Rav Amar gave a bracha to each and every child, after which he was escorted around to see the classrooms and treatment rooms, praising the operation that meticulously seeks to meet the needs of each child and elevate him to his maximum potential.
On the same day, Sulam was greeting parents of new students, explaining the operations of the school to them, giving Rav Amar a first-hand look at the complexities of the situation and the logistical and emotional hardship endured by the parents of the special children.
