Baruch Hashem the 25 security guards hired to ensure Rav Amnon Yitzchak’s shiur on Wednesday night the eve of 5 Teves passed without incident. Organizers, who arranged for the shiur at Zvill, near the Mir in Yerushalayim, brought a large security force as they realized persons might try to interrupt or create a disturbance.
Every person wishing to attend the shiur was required to consent to being photographed before entering in addition to being asked their name and where they learn. They then underwent a physical inspection and if cleared, were permitted to enter to hear the rav.
The rav attacked Shas and the party leader, Aryeh Deri during the shiur as well as the chareidi college and the Shas party Women’s Council headed by Mrs. Aryeh Deri. Rav Amnon also attacked Religious Services Minister (Shas) David Azoulai, who announced a chevra kadisha cannot compel gender separation at a levaya and they must permit a woman to give a hesped if the mourners are in agreement.
Rav Amnon during his shiur told participants that he is aware that Shas spies were among those in attendance and that they were spraying pepper spray. The rav’s comments were preceded by a number of people beginning to cough as if there was something in the air. He instructed the audience to “find them and bring them directly to the police”.
There were some other tensions during the event but it did pass without any major incidents.

The arabs do not care if you belong to the group of Rav A. Yitzchak or Shas. Maybe it is time to put aside our silly little differences and focus on our real enemy, the nazis of 2015.
Avraham, the security wasn’t for Arab terrorist, as is evident from the article. Be מעיין
I am sorry to say that it is unfortunate – but Rav Amnon Yitschak has lost his place due to all of his declaration concerning people who don’t agree with everything he does – including some respectful Rabbonim
It is too bad and he has to be able to contain other people and not make fun of them
Too bad
