The past several weeks have brought unprecedented heartache as several promising young lives were lost to drug overdoses leaving behind stunned friends and family members. Each of these victims were exactly that, victims, individuals who fell prey to a relentless opponent, who despite their most valiant efforts, were unable to extricate themselves from the deadly grip of drugs.
We cannot allow this plague to continue and Amudim was founded just over one year ago to fight back, to give those who suffer from addiction the tools and the crucial support system they need to triumph over this incredibly powerful adversary. Our phones ring constantly with pleas for help and we are determined to continue fighting this war, but the costs of doing battle are astronomical.
