15:15: Attack summary: A terrorist rammed a vehicle into a bus stop near the Jerusalem Cords Bridge. He reportedly exited the vehicle with a knife, at which point he was shot and killed. The first to fire at him was a pedestrian on the scene who realized what was taking place and B”H, did not hesitate to neutralize the attacker. It is added that this summary is based on preliminary information and the details of the attack may change at a later date when investigators have had ample time to assess the events and interview eyewitnesses.

One can see in some of the photos that the vehicle also struck a fire hydrant, resulting in the water spraying upward.

There appears to be at least eight persons wounded, most in light condition. One victim is said to be in moderate-to-serious condition. The wounded are being transported from the scene to hospitals in the capital.

The terrorist is reportedly a resident of the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem.

At this point it is reported all the victims have been transported from the scene. That is not to say there will not be additional victims of hysteria, which often occurs following terror attacks.

14:57: Preliminary report of a vehicular ramming attack at the Jerusalem Cords Bridge. Emergency agencies are responding. Details to follow.

15:00: Ichud Hatzalah personnel report they are on the scene and there are a number of people wounded. Gunfire is being reported as well, possibly directed at the terrorist. More to follow.

15:04: Ichud Hatzalah and Magen David Adom emergency medical service personnel are operating on the scene, treating the wounded. There appears to be a number of wounded. It is confirmed that the terrorist has been shot and neutralized, bringing the attack to a halt B”H.

15:06: MDA Chief of Operation Eli Bin reports a total of ten persons have been wounded in the attack.

15:09: MDA reports the call for the attack came in at 14:57. As is evident from the photo above, the attacker drover into a bus stop between the cords bridge and Binyanei Ha’uma.

An Israel Police spokesman is reporting that seven of the nine persons wounded are in light condition. This has not been confirmed by an EMS agency. At least one person is listed in moderate-to-serious condition.
