A 15-year-old Beit Shemesh boy was arrested on erev Shabbos 29 Kislev after police learned it was he who was responsible for phoning in a number of fake terror attacks and reports of “suspicious persons” in the area during recent weeks. The young teen explained he did not intend to harm anyone but was doing it as a practical joke.

The actions of the teen resulted in a large response from police and EMS agencies, who reported the calls were “unfounded”. Police realized the same phone number was connected to a number of ‘unfounded’ emergency calls, leading them to the suspect.

Police explain they view the actions of the young man seriously and plan to prosecute him for his actions.
