This Wednesday, December 9th, Senator Felder’s office hosted a free Home Energy Assessment Program for renters and homeowners. The program is designed to provide a free energy usage evaluation of homes throughout New York City. After the evaluation, renters and homeowners can receive free home insulation, free smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, free shower heads, and other great benefits!
Many excited residents stopped by Senator Felder’s Brooklyn office to apply for the Energy Assessment Program. While at the office, members of the Senator’s staff also helped residents fill out Heartshare applications to help them receive up to $200 towards their National Grid heating bill.
“I am hopeful that we will be able to help the community save a lot of money on energy costs, especially as we enter the cold winter months,” said Senator Felder. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of these great opportunities.”
Each year, Senator Felder’s office gives out money through the Heartshare Program. Last year, over $25,000 was given to qualified residents. To find out if you qualify for this amazing service, call the Senator’s office at (718) 253-2015.
