Police are working to determine who burglarized the Tel Aviv home of Yisrael HaYom religious affairs correspondent Yehuda Schlesinger, wiping out files from his computer hard disc and leaving a dead cat on the scene. Police believe someone who was angered over a recent story released by Schlesinger most likely committed the crime.
When Schlesinger returned home on motzei shabbos, he immediately realized his home was ransacked, telling police very little was stolen. He said that with the exception of some cash that was in sight, nothing of value was taken.
Most of the work focused on damaging the files on his computer. Police add the burglar(s) wore gloves, eliminating any chance of fingerprints.
