Sunday Afternoon News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


A firebomb was hurled at an Israeli vehicle on Highway 443 near Maccabim Checkpoint on Sunday morning. No injuries were reported.

**Shas MK Meshulam Nahari on Sunday visited the Yemenite immigrants who are living in a Beersheva absorption center.

**Mumbai’s police chief and a senior interior ministry official will be visiting Israel to acquire an insight into Israeli security. They are scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, and they will be visiting installations in Ashkelon.

**Occupants of the Nofei Yarden outpost (in the Benjamin Council) report that police arrived on Sunday to arrest a female, assaulting her and threatening her and others with additional violence. Residents of the outpost insist they were attacked by police using batons. Police report the female in custody is wanted for questioning.
