Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday announced his administration was implementing additional measures towards relaxing security regulations on residents of PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous areas.
The prime minister ordered extending the operating hours of the Allenby Bridge Crossing to Jordan, to provide the opportunity for an increase in the transfer of commercial goods from Jordan to PA areas towards boosting the PA economy.
Minister of Regional Development Silvan Shalom told a ministerial committee that his office is working on three major projects towards boosting the PA economy. The projects include a light industrial park in the Bet Lechem area, a program that involves cooperation from France. The German government will assist in funding a similar project near Jenin while Japan will have a hand in a third such project aimed at boosting the Yericho area.
Shalom told the ministerial forum that with the removal of many road blocks and checkpoints by the IDF, there is a significant quality of life improvements for autonomous area residents. The prime minister added that “anywhere we can improve quality of life for the Palestinians without compromising security for Israelis, we will do so”.
Shalom added that since the current administration assumed office, there has been significant progress in such projects aimed at improving day-to-day life for PA residents, calling upon the international community to step up to meet the challenge and assist.

Attention “prime minister” that ordered extending the operating hours of the Allenby Bridge Crossing to Jordan, to provide the opportunity for an increase in the transfer of commercial goods from Jordan to PA areas towards boosting the PA economy
PLEASE DONT DUE THAT TILL THEY RELEASE OUR DEAR CAPTURED BROTHER ” GILAD SHALIT” !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Notice the helping countries are france, germany, and japan, – NOT saudi arabia, iran, and qatar! These arab countries are oil rich countries, BUT they don’t care one bit about their “poor palestinian” brothers! They only use them for anti-Israel propaganda purposes. The sucker european countries’ “goodness” is fueled by fear of the moslems and hatred of the Jews.
Economic development makes it more expensive for them to support terrorism. Also, since the economies of Israel and the Palestinians are integrated (often illegally, but money follows economic laws, not political ones), boosting the Palestinian economy stimulates the Israeli economy. And unlike our own politicians, he is doing a stimulus package without printing money (which is why the shekel is gaining on the dollar).
By giving into PA demands, a dangerous thing is happening. It’s like admitting to the world you were being heavy-handed for no reason, and have decided to be nicer. Either there was a reason for the current security regulations, or not.
Why is Israel malleable to everyone outsider’s point of view?
