Egged is preparing for Tuesday, 15 Tammuz, the yahrzeit of the Ohr HaChayim HaKadosh. Thousands are expected to make their way to the Tzion in Har HaZeisim. The 29 bus will be operating on a special schedule, departing from Jaffe St. opposite the central bus station directly to Har HaZeisim.

Bus service will begin on Monday evening, 14 Tammuz, from 19:00-00:00. It will resume on Tuesday morning at 08:00 until 19:00. Return trips from Har HaZeisim on Thursday will begin at 09:00 until 20:00.

Due to traffic considerations, Egged has changed the route for the day to avoid entry into Geula and Meah Shearim. The route will be from the central bus station, left onto Sarei Yisrael Street, right onto Malchei Yisrael (opposite Boyan), left onto Brandeis, right onto Yirmiyahu, right onto Shmuel HaNavi (2 bus route) until the Opel Road and then left to Har HaZeisim. The return route will more or less follow the Number 1 line.

The buses will exhibit a sign that says “Special 29 service to Har HaZeisim”. The fare is a regular fare for urban travel and monthly passes will be honored.

Travelers opting to use Egged will be entitled to purchase a special set of chumashim Ohr HaChayim with the commentary Yismach Moshe for NIS 100 instead of NIS 140 by presenting an Egged bus pass or monthly pass.

The sale is honored in branches of Feldheim books, Ohr HaChayim books, Yefei Nof and other bookstores in the chareidi sector until 22 Tammuz. For additional information, one may phone Egged customer service at *2800 (extension 7) from any phone the daily HaMevaser reports.
