A heavy security force with specialized armored vehicles was seen entering Shuafat Refugee Camp on Wednesday morning, 20 Kislev, as authorities prepared to demolish the home of a terrorist. It is home to about 45,000 residents, which Reshet Bet Radio’s Gal Berger reports has a very high percentage of residents who pay arnona property tax for fear if they do not, they will lose their Israeli identity card.
A Jerusalem police spokesman explained that the court order was given to destroy the home of the terrorist responsible for the vehicular ramming attack on November 5, 2014 in which border police Superintendent Jedan Assad z”l was murdered along with Shlomo Aharon Ba’adani HY”D.
Police commanders were compelled to prepare for the worst scenario as they entered this hostile area of the capital. The area roads have also been closed down by police to prevent persons from coming to the area to confront police.
