The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for southern Sullivan County until 500 pm
– at 2:06 pm Doppler radar indicated heavy rain was falling and will result in minor flooding.
A thunderstorm with torrential rainfall was affecting far southern Sullivan County near Glenspey. Additional storms with heavy rain will move into this same area through at least 3 pm.
Precautionary/preparedness actions…
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams and ponding of water in urban areas highways streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots.
