A PA (Palestinian Authority) resident was shot and wounded by IDF gunfire at the Oranit Checkpoint in Shomron on motzei Shabbos. The checkpoint is located on the Trans-Samaria Highway. B’chasdei Hashem there were no injuries to Israeli security personnel.

The PA resident failed to adhere to instructions from soldiers who told him to stop and identify himself. They were compelled to fire at him, hitting him in the lower extremities.

Elsewhere in the Shomron, soldiers fired at attackers hurling rocks at the pillbox station near Ofra, in the Binyamin Regional Council district. One of the attackers was hit by the gunfire and treated by a Red Crescent ambulance team.

In the Gush Etzion area there was as firebomb attack near el-Hader. B”H no injuries.
