Not wishing to miss the opportunity to improve its standing among western nations, Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad has turned to the White House, calling on President Barak Obama to take a pivotal role in the resumption of talks between Damascus and Jerusalem, Lebanese media reports indicate.
The report states that Syria is working hard to have itself removed from America’s terror list among other steps to improve its status in the international diplomatic community.
