Authorities on Sunday lifted a gag order on the arrest three weeks ago of an Israeli Arab resident of Sachknin, 64, who was taken into custody on his way to Jenin in possession of 3,000 bullets.
Authorities report the suspect was delivering the bullets to the PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous areas, adding however it appears the motive was “criminal” and not “nationalistic” in nature. The 3,000 shotgun bullets were inside an empty television carton.
Three Akko Magistrate’s Court justices decided on Sunday to lift the gag order on the publication of the arrest.
