Security guards at the Givati parking lot near the Kosel were compelled to fire warning shots in the air late motzei shabbos to dispel Arab rock-throwers as they waited for the arrival of border police.

The guards are responsible for protecting vehicles parked in the lot, many visitors to the Kosel, came under a hail of rock-throwing from Arabs. Feeling threatened, they fired weapons in the air to scare away the attackers. There were no reports of injuries. Border police did arrive shortly thereafter. There were no reports of arrests.
