The cost of a ride on the city’s subways and buses is going up.

Beginning Sunday, the base pay MetroCard fare will now cost $2.25, up from $2.

All unlimited ride MetroCards are going up as well, with 7-day rides increasing $2 to $27 dollars.

All 30 day MetroCards will increase from $81 to $87 dollars.

And the cost of express bus tickets is going up, from $5 to $5.50, while the 7-day plan for buses will be $45.
