The MTA, which regularly schedules work along all of New York City’s 469 subway stations, notified riders that during the week of November 16th through 20th, Q trains operating between Newkirk Avenue and Kings Highway will be running on the express line from 9:45am until 3:00pm.
On Friday, however, the service change will conclude at 2pm, allowing Shabbos observers enough time to reach their destination before the start of Shabbos.
“Many of my constituents were worried that they wouldn’t be able to get home in time for Shabbos,” Senator Felder said. “I’m grateful to the MTA for their sensitivity to the Sabbath observing public.”
