More Violence From The Senator That Represents Flatbush & Boro Park?!

parker.jpgThe NY Post reports: Senate Republicans say they might file criminal and ethics charges against Sen. Kevin Parker, the violence-prone Democrat who allegedly threatened a GOP lawyer.

“We’re looking at both those possibilities,” GOP spokesman John McArdle told The Post.

Attorney John Conway, 59, said he was on the Senate floor when Parker, who faces felony assault charges for allegedly attacking a Post photographer last month, sought to disrupt a GOP-controlled proceeding that Democrats considered illegal.

“He said to me, ‘What are you looking at, punk? Do you know who I am and don’t you read the newspaper, punk?’ ” said Conway.

Parker admitted using harsh words, but said he didn’t threaten Conway.

Meanwhile, a Senate source said Parker is close to cutting a deal with the Brooklyn DA that would reduce the felony charge to a misdemeanor and require Parker to take anger-management classes.

A spokesman for the DA said no deal is in the works.

  1. I’m in his district and the problem is that he’s not representing people unless you count the frequent nonsense mailings he sends out. He may be just too busy trying to control his anger to accomplish anything else. I voted for him the first time.

  2. They cut the districts to benefit the incumbent politicians. Although he represents parts of Flatbush he also represents neighborhoods like Bed-Stuy, East NY, etc. which end up cancelling out the BP/Flatbush votes.

  3. but if he was a lib this would be ok and swept under the rug. as usual its the republicans that hold their people to a higher standard and when they fall….. OUCH!

I’m not sure what you’re saying. Kevin Parker IS a Pro Choice/Pro Gay Marriage, Liberal Democrat! The Democrat’s welcome such behavior. It’s the Republicans who are going after him – as they should.
