Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman rejected a Syrian call to Israel to resume diplomatic talks, Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) reported on Thursday morning.
The report stated that Lieberman received the diplomatic request from Holland’s foreign minister who is visiting. According to the report, Lieberman confirmed rejecting the offer, adding he is however prepared to enter into talks with Syria today, without intermediaries and without preconditions.
Israel continues to announce a sincere willingness to return to the negotiating table with Syria but without the Syrian preconditions which include the unconditional total Israeli withdrawal from the entire Golan Heights.
