Motzei Shabbos News Recap from Eretz Yisrael


par· Israel’s fifth president, Yitzchak Navon, was niftar over Shabbos at the age of 94.

· A 14-year-old chareidi youth on Friday night entered the Arab village of Batir in the Judean Hills after arguing with his parents and leaving the house. B”H an Arab resident of the village reported the teen’s presence to the office of the IDF Coordinator of Activities in Yehuda & Shomron and soldiers arrived and removed the teen unharmed.

· A man was struck by a vehicle walking on Shmuel HaNavi Street in the capital on motzei Shabbos, sustaining a serious head injury. CPR and advanced life support were performed at the scene prior to transport to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

· The soldier shot by sniper fire in Beit Anoun on Friday night remains in serious/unstable condition on motzei Shabbos.

· The victim of the erev Shabbos stabbing attack at Shar Binyamin has been upgraded from serious to moderate condition at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

· Bara’a Issa turned himself in to PA (Palestinian Authority) police, admitting to the erev Shabbos stabbing attack at Shar Binyamin. He is a resident of the eastern capital.

· About 4,000 mispallalim were in Hebron for Shabbos Chayei Sarah.

· PM Netanyahu leaves on Sunday for an official visit to Washington, including a meeting in the White House.

· Shooting attack without injuries on motzei Shabbos in Hebron. The gunfire was directed at the ‘Chassam Shoter’ checkpoint.

· A 14-year-old was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured in Maale Adumim on motzei Shabbos. The driver, who fled the scene, later turned himself over to police.

· A bus traveling in the Jordan Valley on motzei Shabbos was targeted by Arabs throwing rocks near Ujah.
