In a video-clip posted on the Internet, Jordanian cleric Ali Hassan Al-Halabi said, in response to a question, that it is not permissible to kill Jews in Palestine as “there are shari’a agreements that protect people’s rights and lives.” “Our brothers in Palestine tell us that the Jews do not attack anyone who does not attack them,” he said. The video, which was originally posted on the Internet on February 18, has been circulating on the social media against the backdrop of the recent stabbing attacks in Israel.

So he should get together with the Eidis hareidis and start a peace movement????
I am amazed that there are sane Muslims out there and am greatful that they are not afraid to speak the truth.
Jews want peace with Muslims who want peace.
And I mean real peace that does entail throwing Jews out of their homes.
Let’s not heap too much praise on someone who calls us “accursed jews”. He just says that moslems should just kill jews. What a low bar we set for them.
Interesting video. Am I supposed to like this guy? Is this what a moderate Muslim is like?
I meant to write in my previous post “real peace that does NOT entail throwing out Jews from their homes”.
I couldn’t access the video previously to know precisely what the cleric said and I deduced from the article that he doesn’t support violence. Which is true, but of course it was too good to be true to be left at that. He also ” needed” to call us Jews accursed and heretics to “balance” his words of “peace”. Oh well.
Philosopher, I saw it before it got deleted. He was basically answering the respectfully toned queries of his “talmidim” who were asking him, “K’vod HaImam, 1. can we kill Israelis? 2.What about soldiers? Answer to question 1 was: hello-o-o that is foolishness. THe ones who give you all your food, electricity, water, housing, jobs!?! You do not kill these people. Unless of course, they start first, then go for it. In general, though, Israelis are not out there looking for a fight and trying to attack you first, so the Holy Quran doesn’t justify it. That is not to say they aren’t evil, disgusting, filthy vermin infidels, but face it, you can’t just kill them. On answer number two; All the same was repeated, but he began by saying, we-e-e-ll…Even the soldiers are not actually looking to kill you so no. Except if we are in the midst of what “our halacha” (= shaariyeh) deems a battle. Then it is a a mitzvah.
PS – His name is Shaker!? How appropriate -K’shmo ken hu!
