Over 1,500 mispallalim took part in the Thursday night event, permitting mispallalim to visit the Kevarim of Yehoshua ben Nun and Calev be Yehuda, the two spies who did not go long with the others, who spoke loshon hora about Eretz Yisrael.
The event on Thursday night was arranged by the Yesod Olam organization, providing army protection for the visitors who parked their vehicles at Ariel Junction, provided with shuttle service to and from Kifl Harris, the Arab village in which the Kevarim are located.

why did they do it this week isn’t it next weeks parsha
In Eretz Yisrael, the parsha is Shlach. For those of us outside E.Y., the last day of Shavuos was Shabbos. For E.Y., it was Friday and they resumed the normal parsha schedule.
