Seven soldiers from the Netzach Yehuda Brigade (Nachal Chareidi) were arrested on suspicion of beating a PA (Palestinian Authority) residents while operating in Jenin. During questioning some of the suspects connected themselves to the allegations against them.
Soldier say they were duped, explaining they cooperated with investigators because they were told the matter would be handled internally, within their unit. There are now a number of attorneys representing the different soldiers.
Military police took statements from PA residents, which led to the arrest of the seven. The IDF spokesman explains the incident in question is “most serious”, adding military police are continuing the investigation at this time.
