Magen David Adom some time ago announced it may be compelled to close some of its stations in Yehuda and Shomron due to budgetary restraints.
However, Minister of Health Yaakov Litzman, who meet with Shomron Regional Council leader Yossi Dagan on Wednesday, 15 Cheshvan, says he will not permit the closure of stations in Yehuda and Shomron. Litzman explained he would not permit the closure, which he feels is a basic right of citizens living in those areas, a right to timely emergency medical service.
Dagan thanked and praised the minister, who is known to work tirelessly to rehabilitate Israel’s ailing medical system.
