The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge will be closed to traffic on Sunday for the New York City Marathon.

Transit officials say the closure will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Additionally, the upper level of the bridge will be closed beginning at 11 p.m. Saturday to get it ready for the marathon.

The Bay Street and Lily Pond Avenue exits on Staten Island will close at 3 a.m. on Sunday and reopen at around 3 p.m.
